Vive Treatment Centers treats addiction to alcohol, opioids, stimulants, cannabis, and prescription drugs on an outpatient basis, with a psychiatrist treating any depression, anxiety, or trauma underneath the substance use. Whatever the substance, treatment runs through the same evidence-based program of therapy, medication when it helps, and psychiatric care, on a schedule you attend around work and home. We accept all major Insurance.

Different substances share more than they differ when it comes to treatment. Alcohol, opioids, and stimulants each have their own medical details, but the work underneath is similar: understanding what the substance was doing for you, treating any mental health condition feeding the use, and building a life that does not require it. That is why the same core program treats all of them, adjusted for the specific substance and for you. A psychiatrist leads that care, which matters because substance use so often sits on top of an untreated condition that keeps pulling you back.
No two people walk in at the same place, so treatment starts with sorting out where you actually are. On your first call, and then in a fuller intake assessment, a licensed clinician looks at what you are using and how much, how your body responds when you stop, whether a mental health condition is in the mix, and what your work and home life can accommodate. That picture decides three things: whether you need medically supervised detox before anything else, which level of care fits, and what medication, if any, belongs in your plan. You do not have to arrive knowing which substance page describes you or which program you need. Figuring that out is the first thing we do, not something you have to solve alone beforehand.

Treatment runs through our Intensive Outpatient Program, with three-hour sessions three to five days a week in daytime or evening tracks, then steps down to weekly care as you stabilize. Group therapy, individual counseling, and family sessions use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and a psychiatrist manages any medication in the same plan. You live at home throughout, which means you practice staying in recovery in the same environment where you will keep living. The intensive phase commonly runs about three months, followed by ongoing support.
Some situations need a higher level of care before outpatient treatment, and we will tell you when yours is one of them. If you are physically dependent on alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids, you may need medically supervised detox first, which we arrange at a partner facility and then bring you into our program to continue. We do not provide detox or residential care on-site, and we will not pretend outpatient is right when it is not. Being honest about that on the first call is part of safe treatment.

We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield including the Federal Employee Program, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, and Tricare, and we work with most other commercial plans. Most cover outpatient addiction treatment with prior authorization; your out-of-pocket depends on your deductible and coinsurance.
